1. PARTIES & DEFINITIONS

The Company refers to Al Jawla Al Akheerah Cars Rental LLC, operating under the brand AMJ Drive, located at Sharjah Majaz 2, Al Wahda Street, UAE.

The Hirer refers to the individual, company, or authority renting a vehicle from the Company under this agreement.

The Vehicle refers to the car or motor vehicle rented under this contract.

2. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Age & License

  • The Hirer must be a minimum of 25 years old.
  • UAE residents must hold a valid UAE driving license issued at least 12 months prior.
  • Visitors and tourists must hold a valid national driving license and an International Driving Permit (IDP).

Required Documents

  • Emirates ID (for UAE residents)
  • Valid passport (for tourists and visitors)
  • Valid driving license
  • Any additional documents requested by the Company or UAE authorities

3. SECURITY DEPOSIT POLICY

When you book through our website (amjdrive.com), no security deposit is required from any customer. Simply pay the rental amount and your booking is confirmed.

For walk-in or phone bookings, a minimum security deposit may apply. Please contact our team for details before visiting.

Deposit Refund (Walk-in Bookings Only)

If a deposit is collected for walk-in bookings, it will be refunded within 15 days from the date the vehicle is returned, provided it is in satisfactory condition and all charges are settled.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

  • All payments must be made in UAE Dirhams (AED).
  • Accepted methods: Credit card, debit card, or payment link.
  • Rental payment is due in advance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • If the contract is terminated early, the Hirer must pay the applicable rate for the full period used.
  • In case of payment delay, a penalty of 15% per month will be applied to any overdue balance.
  • By paying online, the Hirer authorizes the Company to auto-debit their card for any outstanding fees, fines, Salik charges, or damages.

5. MILEAGE & USAGE LIMITS

6. VEHICLE USE — PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

The Vehicle must not be used for:

  • Transporting illegal goods, live animals, birds, or perishable items
  • Towing any vehicle without prior written consent from the Company
  • Motorsport events, racing, rallying, or speed testing
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Travel outside the United Arab Emirates
  • Sub-renting or allowing unauthorized third parties to drive the Vehicle

If an unauthorized person is found to have driven the Vehicle, the Hirer will be charged AED 25 per day calculated from the start of the contract.

7. TOLLS, FINES & ADDITIONAL CHARGES

Please inform the Company at least 2 hours before a late return or collection. The first hour of delay is free of charge.

8. VEHICLE CONDITION & RESPONSIBILITY

  • The Hirer receives the Vehicle in good working condition and must check fuel, water, and lubricant levels at all times.
  • The Vehicle must be returned with all tools, documents, accessories, spare wheel, and equipment.
  • The Hirer must always lock the Vehicle when parked or unattended.
  • The Hirer is responsible for any damage, loss, or issues occurring during the rental period.
  • If any mechanical or electrical issues arise (overheating, engine noise, shaking), stop immediately and contact the Company.

9. INSURANCE & ACCIDENT PROCEDURE

In Case of Accident — What To Do

  • Call the police immediately. Do NOT move the Vehicle until the police issue a report.
  • Collect names, addresses, and details of all parties and witnesses involved.
  • Notify the Company by phone, SMS, or in writing as soon as possible.
  • Failure to submit a police report makes the Hirer liable for all costs.

The Hirer can reduce accident liability by purchasing the optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). Ask our team for details.

10. VEHICLE SERVICING

Oil change schedules are displayed on a sticker on the driver door or windshield. The Hirer must return the vehicle when the oil change is due (within +/- 100 km). Failure to do so will result in a charge of AED 0.35 per extra km traveled beyond the service due date.

11. REFUND POLICY

  • Online bookings: No deposit is taken, so no deposit refund is applicable.
  • Walk-in bookings where deposit was collected: Refunded within 15 days of vehicle return.
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method used.
  • Any outstanding fees, fines, Salik charges, or damage costs will be deducted before the refund.
  • If the original payment method is unavailable, the Hirer must provide an alternative in writing.

12. COMPANY RIGHTS

  • The Company reserves the right to stop, lock, or repossess the Vehicle via GPS at any time in case of payment disputes, contract breaches, or traffic law violations.
  • The Company may cancel the rental contract at any time without prior notice if terms are violated.
  • The Company is not responsible for any personal belongings left in the Vehicle.
  • The Company reserves the right to recover costs including reasonable legal fees for overdue payments.

13. GOVERNING LAW

This agreement is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from this contract will be resolved through UAE courts.

By signing or accepting this agreement, the Hirer confirms they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions stated above.
